It is very obvious to any that there is a lot more to football than just "Xs and Os" and the game is won on the field not the chalkboard--let alone the internet. However, it is still vital to any team, and very important. Honestly, I think this resource can be helpful to any player, coach or fan. I've compiled a simple offensive scheme mostly centered around a balanced attack from spread formations with a no-huddle element.

The main point I'd like to make though, is that the no-huddle element is transient of any offensive system. Meaning, if you run the wishbone, the no-huddle is something you should look at. If you run the single wing, the run and shoot, the west coast offense, regardless, I feel the no-huddle is the way to go regardless of what is in your playbook. The playbook and how you install it will all have adjustments to fit you, and your players, but it's something I feel can help everyone. Maybe the most important place it can help, and I will talk about this further, is practice. Moreover, I truly believe the no-huddle is the future of football, as rule changes and the like encourage the game to be more fast paced.

Update!

Yes I've actually updated. Our system has undergone a lot of changes over the last few seasons, most notably being that we no longer always use the no-huddle(of course we still use it) largely because we made the move to use more formations and personel groups. But we have undergone other changes, and I finally got around to updating them. I will try to add more diagrams to these sections as we go, and if something does not load, it will be up fairly soon. Also, check out all the sections because we have done a better job of combining things like play action into an actual part of the system.

Thoughts and football topics from my email replies

Please let me know what you guys think, and if you have any feedback. Thanks! I hope to add a run game section soon, or at least an article with diagrams about our base run series.

Check out http://www.chucknduck.coma site devoted to passing. I have an article there about manufacturing big plays in the passing game, check it out.

I would also like to thank Homer Smith, and all the kind coaches on his message board who have answered my questions and have provided interesting topics to read. It is probably the best spot right now for coaching discussion on the web.
